The World is Your Playground

Never stop Playing

One of the tings I love most is getting out in the world, running around, and jumping over things.

For a while, I practiced parkour in a gym and took classes in tumbling and other martial arts, but for me, it is more about living as though the world were a constant playground, an invitation to move fluidly through whatever part of the jungle I may be navigating in a given moment.

Becoming a father has brought added dimensions of joy to this; as Satya grows up, I have an awesome buddy to traipse around and explore the world with.

Kids look up at me on the playground as I walk across the side rail of the monkey bars before jumping down and landing in a roll. Inevitably one of them asks, “How do you do that?”

I look them square in the eyes and I say, “No matter how old you get, never stop playing.”

We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
